I truly do not understand why some people still seem to cling to an antiquated notion that a woman's place is in the home, rather than the workforce. Namely my mother. Who has at least given me a reason not to leave Neville with her. Merlin knows what sort of antiquated ideas she'd fill his head with.

There's still no news on the Bones case from DMLE's end. The post mortems are completed but as far as I'm aware, there are still no solid leads in the case. Aside from the rather obvious fact that it was a Death Eater attack.

That said, the question that's weighing most heavily on my mind is how the Death Eaters discovered that Edgar was not a purist.

Possible scenarios:

• Edgar said something either to someone he shouldn't have.
  
• He was overheard speaking to someone.
  
• Veritaserum or legilimency.
  
• He was outed by someone who knew his true allegiances.
  
• Anything else?

If Sirius is right and this wasn't an isolated incident, we ought to prepare ourselves for additional attacks. I thought we might start by making a list of which of us may be particularly appealing targets. Both in terms of who might be known or suspected "vigilantes" and those of us that may have made targets of ourselves for other reasons.

Obviously both Frank and I are on that list for our   past run-ins with the Death Eaters. However I would be shocked if we were known to be vigilantes.

Whatever one's political views, the murder of children is reprehensible. A five year old pure and innocent child has nothing to do with the sins of the parents, whatever they may be.

I haven't been allowed on the scene and I had to fight to even be allowed to stay in the office, but here's what I can tell you from the reports coming in.

We received an anonymous tip about a fire at Edgar's house, indicating that their family was being held inside. The tip mentioned "Edgar's allegiances with terrorist organizations" and two men who were seen watching the fire from the edge of the property. The Aurors on the scene reported that the Dark Mark was over the house and once they got the fires extinguished, they found     Edgar the bodies of Edgar, Camilla and their children inside.

 
As far as I can tell, the attack is intended to look as if the Death Eaters have turned on one of their own. Edgar never gave them any reason to believe that he wasn't fully supportive of purist ideologies so clearly   the Death Eaters must have figured out Edgar's true loyalties. Please, all of you, make sure that your homes are secure and that you are safely inside of them. We do not know what else they may know.



Edgar left the entirety of his estate to Albus, Frank and myself, for the Order's use. That will certainly quell any notion that he might have been a Death Eater
